Yeah, it looks like it'll look good in motion, but I don't think all this effort to make it cool is necessary. There's an element of uncool to Superman that's sort of his style. He's a circus strongman from outer space, not an Olympic power walker.

In front of Batman, they ran the teaser trailer for The Man of Steel.
It consisted of many shots of what I'd imagine was young Clark Kent's home town. One framed picture of his earth parents was memorable. All these shots had a voice over of Jor-El (Russell Crowe) giving fatherly advise to his son. It was well done and rather moving. As it progresses, you see Kent hitchhiking up to a Northern climate. The scenes conclude with a shot of Superman from a far distance flying into the clouds at supersonic speeds. The very end has these organic red cloth-like bands that merge together to form the Superman symbol. This, I'd say, was the one part that didn't seem to fit (but this is a very minor point).
Overall, it raised my level of interest in this film. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the reemergence of this character.

Yeah, I have to say I am not a fan of Superman AT ALL but the trailer made it look good.

Pretty cool, kind of has that earthy real world tone that the batman movies have. BUT why is he leaving a contrail?? I don't mean to be picky but that doesn't make much sense.

I'm psyched. I like the look of the teaser. Hopefully the movie will connect with audiences. I like what I'm seeing so far.

Saw the preview during the Hobbit. Looks really good. I'm happy to see Superman coming back.
