I'd be happy with any pretzel. I loved the Hobbit, had i's faults for sure, one of which I felt was too many references (or call-forwards as Ben calls them) to LOTR, especially in the music, I wanted more original themes, but Ben actually loved that about it. And I suppose that's how it is with the whole movie. All in all though, to sum up, vis-a-vis, I found it more enjoyable than the LOTR movies. I think it comes down to the story being more light-hearted, and the protagonist being more likeable, Bilbo isn't weighed down by ring stuff or the weight of the world, he's just a stiff young man out on an adventure he's not ready for. I felt that the opening bit with Frodo felt forced and stilted, I loved the singing, I was sad that the last homely house wasn't as homely as I remembered it, I loved Radagast and thought Saruman was great and funny and was so happy to see him. Too much cg but Gollum was great. And the dwarves I loved. More of those any time.
