Why should the boys be the only ones to get a rant in there? Everyone knows I love a good rant, and here's a thread for you all to have one too. Get cranky here about anything that bugs you, in movies, tv, pop culture, or just everyday life. But movies is probably a safer topic! Here's one I've mentioned before to start us off; I hate it in movies when they gratuitously kill off a pet just to make you upset. It works, it makes me upset. Usually it pisses me off so much I just turn it off. Pet peeve. Yes I get the pun. So what annoys you?

Greasy fingerprints.
When people slide money towards me on the counter instead of placing it in my hand. Especially irritating when they pay with coins.

Nail clipping. Anyone who thinks it's okay to do it in front of other people should have their fingertips chopped off.
That may be a little too harsh, but you get the point.

Yeah, one of the guys at work was clipping his nails with out box-cutting tools, then showing us how infected and pus-filled it was. Not appropriate at work.

Ew gross. One of my mom's friends always did it at doctors offices. I'm like, really? You have to do it now? You can't wait 1/2 an hour till we get home?

No offense to anyone who does it (because I do it too, occasionally); but when someone says "literally" when they clearly mean "figuratively". I mean, that literally boils my blood, man.

People say literally too much. You don't need to say "literally" when what you're saying is clearly meant to be taken literally. eg. "I cut myself and I was literally bleeding."

I'll admit it. I say literally way too much. And like. But not nearly as much as some in my generation.

I hate when people say "just kidding" after telling a joke. If you have to say so, then you didn't do it right.

my favourite "my generation" word at the moment is "totally" I say that way too often.

I've succumbed to that. I say totally all the time. And awesome. Awesome is one of my favorite words.
Here's another one: People who blow their noses in restaurants. And people who blow their noses in a handkerchief and then put it back in their pocket for later. They're not expensive, people.

I think what's worst is when people in restaurants blow their noses in cloth napkins. First off, you know that the waitstaff has to pick the damn thing up. Second, you know that they are only going to wash it and reuse it. Nasty buggers!

Speaking of restaurants, people who don't tip really piss me off.
And people who try to con a free meal. I've got two stories with regards to this.
1- I worked at a pizza place when I was a teen. This place had two front windows that were lined with lights. These lights were shielded on the back to prevent the light from overwhelming the inside and to be cool if someone touched them from behind. Anyway, I watched some guy take his kid's hand and touched it to the front of one of the bulbs. His kid, naturally, started crying and the man demanded the entire meal be free.
2- I was eating in an Italian restaurant I used to frequent weekly. One day, my wife and I watched this old couple that were acting rather oddly. I noticed, after they ate a rather expensive meal, that the old lady took out one of those plastic film tubes. When the waitress came to clear their plates, I noticed the lady hide the tube. They placed an order for dessert, and when the waitress returned with the order; the old man shouted, "Roach! There's a roach!" With that, he demanded the manager and demanded a free meal.
In both cases, they were shot down. But it just disgusts me that some people sink to such a level that they would hurt their kid or carry a supply of insects on their person in order to TRY and get a free meal.

Ew! What happened? Did more people see? People are such tight-asses, just pay for your meal! I had a friend who really got a cockroach in her pie once. The people who sold it to her baked her a cake as an apology. She decided not to eat it.

I'd much rather use their napkin then my sleeve.
