Prometheus

Spent the morning listening to the Prometheus hwdi episodes. www.geeksofdoom.com/2012/06/21/revealed-what-did-david-say-to-the-engineer-in-prometheus I found this back when it came out, not concrete I know but seems to have some merit. Also since I have not heard the commentary I wondered if they touch on the "engineer was jesus" theory. I have heard Scott seemed to confirm this idea. It might explain why they would want to kill us, although I'm still not sure I buy that it was their agenda to begin with. Despite they stupid "people getting lost despite map access" and trying to play with the wildlife stuff, I really want to believe that this is a good movie that just seems bad since we don't fully understand it. Although maybe im just a sucker.

I think no matter what happens there are parts of the movie that are unforgivably dumb, Scott even identifies them in the commentary as parts where they just thought something should happen. I don't think that's enough to make it a bad movie, though. If sequels flesh the story out so that it makes a little more sense, I think this first movie will be seen in a better light.
