I think I'm going to have to go with Princess Bride as well. Funny how it appeals to all of us that way.
For comfort I'd have to go with a comedy. The dumber the better (as long as it's still funny). Royal Tennebaums is way too depressing for me to find it comforting. Bottle Rocket, on the other hand, never gets old for me.
