Tracey mentioned this one (in an upcoming episode) and I was a little wary because I didn't want to watch a documentary about Star Wars fans bitching about the new movies or the Special Editions or whatever. But it was refreshingly balanced and examined the interesting question, which is where is the line drawn once a creator has given his work to the audience? I think this is a really interesting and illuminating look at that that turns out to make the case that Lucas is ultimately much more gracious to his fans than they are to him. Worth a watch whatever side of the argument you're on.

Where can you watch this? I no longer have netflix so I may be out of luck. Out of curiosity, what does it show Lucas doing that's gracious to the fans?

Well, while Lucas is mostly demonized by fans for telling his stories the way he wants to, he's been pretty forgiving of the endless latitude they take in creating fan fiction in his universe. The biggest plea in the movie comes from people who just want him to release the original versions of the films, which he's since done. While most people take the way he re-cuts the movies as a personal attack, he hasn't really done anything to directly offend or attack the fans.
The movie does a good job of showing all the viewpoints, but I came away feeling mostly positive. I've pretty much come to terms with Old Star Wars vs. New Star Wars anyway. The presence of the Clone Wars doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the originals; I just don't watch it.
It's out there wherever movies are, as far as watching it. I netflixed it on DVD.
