Now this is interesting, since they're both, in a way, the magical head-priests of their dark religions. Can you force-choke somebody that's already undead? Does Vadar's status as "more machine now than man" circumvent the "No man may kill me" claus in the Witch King's contract? This is one match-up that could come down to a mano-a-mano fight on the battlefield. I don't know who would win... given Witch King was defeated by a girl, but handed Gandalf his ass when they met (apparently all it takes to defeat a wizard in Middle-Earth is to tell them their staff is broken). Oh, secondary match-up, could Gandalf defeat Vadar?

In a straight up melee fight you'd have to go with Vader due to the whole lightsaber thing. It might not kill the witch king but it would cut his sword into pieces (does the witch king have a body?). As for the magic side of things, we really don't know enough about the witchking or Gandalfs abilities to judge. All the movies really show Gandalf do is shine white light at things. I don't remember the books showing much either. At least Saruman can hurl things around force style. I think we need more info for this one.

If it's prequel Vader he may have a chance, since he's sort of a girl in those movies.
In the LOTR movies all the wraiths are scattered by torch fire and in the book as well as the movie running water all but destroys them (it certainly takes them out of the game a while), so I think Vader could definitely keep the Witch King at bay until he could find a girl to finish him off. I don't think the Witch King has anything that would stop Vader.
