I wasn't sure what to make of the trailer but it currently has 93% on rotten tomatoes which is UNHEARD OF for a horror movie. Are any of you going to see it?

Would love to, but doesn't get released here until July.

I'm curious to see it because the cabin looks just like the Evil Dead cabin. I don't want to watch the trailer because it already looks weird enough that I kind of just want to walk in cold and see for myself.

I'm contemplating it. I've got a few busy weeks before me, so it depends on how long it is in theaters. I've only heard good news about it so far.

Tracy gave it the thumbs up, which is good enough for me. I finally went today and I sing my highest praise for this movie. I would have seen it sooner if I knew it was co-written and produced by Joss Whedon. I think this movie's a game-changer. Not only does it put Whedon back in his best genre, but he and writer/director Drew Goddard offer up a fun analysis of the genre itself. Lots of recognizable faces from previous Whedon projects round out the cast which is populated from start to finish with great character actors.
It also supports one of our earlier Horror Movie Tips, succinctly expressed here as: "Do not read the Latin!"

We disagree on some things, but you gave it such unequivocal praise that it was hard to refuse. I don't think it's being marketed as well as it could be, because I would have overlooked it if I hadn't heard so many people talking about how great it is.
