I was looking up the sequels to Pulse and I discovered this guy, Joel Soisson. When I looked him up i was astounded by the number of terrible sequels the guys has written and directed. It's like his bread and butter. Maybe we should do a show on terrible directors, or at least directors of bad movies. It's just interesting to me how this guy is attached, especially when writing and directing, almost singularly to bad sequels. Here's the IMDB www.imdb.com/name/nm0812373/But to sum up his list includes sequels of American Pie, Children of the Corn, Hellraiser, Mimic and the Prophesy. Oh yes, and Highlander. He's like a sequel singularity.

Yes, Uwe Boll. But not too loud, because me might punch us.

It's mostly his writing and producing that is so impressive. There are guys that seem to make their careers based on garbage...I include Mick Garris on that.
I've suggested to Sean that you guys do the unloved/ignored sequels of horror franchises. The ones that didn't particularly follow the rules set forth by the others...usually the follwing movie ignores this one. Hellraiser 4, Halloween 3, Friday the 13th 5, Nightmare 2...movies like that.
I suppose this kind of goes in line with that, since it's probably the same producers and directors responsible for a lot of these.

Halloween 3 has got to be one of the strangest "sequels" I've ever seen

Yeah, the other movies I named at least use the same characters...even though Friday 5 isn't actually Jason. Halloween 3 is a total departure. I have to admit, I like 3...if it were its own stand alone 80's film, I think people would be alot more nostalgic about it.
Personally, I think 3 is better than all the movies that followed it, despite Michael Myers being back in those.

I'm game for the topic, although I think Halloween 3 is unwatchable. My opinion of Uwe Boll is well documented despite the fact that he likes to beat up his critics. This could be a fun one, like an anti-Johnny Drama ep. These are the guys who produce the movies that Johnny Drama's end up making watchable.
