Alright, who's still watching this craptacular show? Yeah, who are they and what are their addresses, I'm going over there with a shovel to teach em what real zombie warfare looks like.

If all the character were to be eaten in the next episode I would not give one shit.

I hated the first season too. "Let's waste the entire season by forcing the one-dimensional 'hero' to go into Atlanta, out of Atlanta, and back into Atlanta. I'm sure watchers won't get bored easily."

I'm enjoying it. It's following the comic but it does seem to be dragging the story out more. There are things that happened in the first 6 issues that haven't happened in the first 10 episodes of the show. But aside from the ridiculous trip to the CDC (which was not in the comic) and way more lingering around (in the comic they're always on the move until they find a place they THINK is safe), I'm still liking the show pretty good. I'm really enamored of the idea of an ongoing zombie story, and I like their zombies. They're pretty scary.

My biggest complaint so far (again I've only seen the first season) is that they make such a big deal about going back to the city (which is not at all like actual downtown ATL) to get the guns he dropped but they consistently leave military gear lying around. He is in a TANK for heaven's sake and instead of trying to figure out how to drive it he runs away from a horde of zombies ON FOOT! And later in when they find the CDC you can see machine guns lying around. Do they scoop them up like treasure?? No they ignore them. What gives??

That's a product of the show, not the comic. The comic is better. Wherever they deviate on the show it's filler. The stuff with the guy who drops the handcuff key down a pipe and the redneck who chews off his hand and the gang war over the bag of guns is not from the comic. I won't defend any of that because it's stupid. They're not doing 22 episode seasons, so I don't know why they insist on all this filler. It has to be expanded on because a 32 page comic doesn't have to say as much as a 60 minute show, but they don't have to come up with all these new stories. That's just the writers being creative, which they shouldn't do if they don't have the skill for it.

I'm watching. I like the show, but I don't think it was ever as great as most seem to believe. I've never read the comics, so I'm not following any preordained story-line; and therefore not subject to disappointed expectations. I like the lot of characters. The fact that the derelict of the group seems to be the most interested in finding the little girl is a nice touch.

That character's an add-on that's actually a good one. I like that guy. They could deviate completely if they had a plan, but so far when they leave the path the lose the mission. I like the missing girl storyline too.

The Walking Dead is back from hiatus. The second episode is tonight. Last week was a pretty good one and this half of the season looks pretty interesting. (I'm avoiding anything specific since I don't know when the shows are available in the Land Down Under.)

Hey, don't worry about spoilers for me, I don't even know if that show airs down here. Go ahead and discuss away. Anyway, I like spoilers. It's a personal preference that I don't like being surprised. But thanks for being considerate!
