First, there was the news that the movie studios are jacking up the prices they charge netflix to stream their movies from $180 million in 2010 to an insane $1.98 BILLION in 2012! ( money.cnn.com/2011/07/08/technology/netflix_starz_contract/index.htm) The raised fees for their content have caused netflix and now redbox to raise their rates ( money.msn.com/saving-money-tips/post.aspx?post=8000d0de-d0e4-4ed8-955f-d16f7464c448) Now they're trying to enforce their new 28 day waiting period after a movie is released on dvd before you can rent it at redbox, blockbuster, or netflix. ( www.wired.com/epicenter/2011/10/end-dvd-rental/) For all of their commercials about how we're stealing from them by downloading the movies illegally, why are they making it so difficult for us to watch them otherwise? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! I kind of want to see the Green Lantern (even though I've heard nothing good about it) but NO WAY am I going to buy it! Do they really think making me wait 28 days will force me to purchase it?? Sorry for the rant, but this is getting on my nerves. They're playing into the pirates hands.
