Finally a little payoff for your patience. In the 3rd segment of TV Ate My Dinner's 2009 Christmas epic, the boys raid Sean's parents' attic and explore his past, discovering some toy treasures along the way.

This is gold! This is worth watching through all that silly pool game! I love watching Sean's face as he nostages through all these things. I wouldn't let anybody film me as I went through my old crap. I like the ray gun! Such light in your eyes! I love toy guns that make those noises! Unless the little kid behind me has one and he thinks its cool to just continuously set it off. I do fake die when they shoot at me properly, but don't just stand there shooting at nothing for the noise! Anyway this one ended way too soon for me, I loved it and could watch many more just like it. Also, hello Thomas. My cat interrupts with the same concerned face when I start singing.

Some cool finds.
I'd be taking the V gun home, too. I never knew they made them.
I also had a decent collection of the "choose your own adventure" books. Mine were all D&D related, except for two Car Wars stories I had come across.

Yes, I too read choose your own adventure stuff, but I confess I didn't always go back to the beginning when I died, I often marked pages and went back if the ending was poorly. I also read loads of Doctor Who, it's how I was introduced to the series actually. I thought the TV show was based on the books!

This was one of the first books I can remember reading. There's more to come. We were up there for hours. But the story goes in other places, so be ready. This video may be something of an ongoing series for a while.

This book looks awesome, that's the happiest looking Loch Ness Monster I ever did see. And a yellow horse and a T-rex for some reason. And a massive sandcastle. Awesome. Where's the movie?

This was one of mine. And another. And a third I forgot all about.

These books like having a dashing hero with a cloaked midget looking scared in the background. Every hero needs a tiny man being scared behind them, because who else will you show off in front of?

I had Mountain of Mirrors, but I don't remember reading it. A few years ago I picked up Cave of Time at a used book store; maybe I should look for Mountain of Mirrors too.

Funny, cause I don't remember the story either. I know I tried reading it a couple times, but I think the buildup took too long for my impatient child mind.

The heroes in these were supposed to be young lads. I guess the writers felt the need to add gnomes and halflings as companions since they could be an adult voice in a body smaller then the protagonist.

You know they did Buffy versions of these? I got one recently but couldn't read it because all the choices were stupid. It was Buffy.
