I'm disappointed in theory, but honestly speaking, the JLA project they almost made sounded horrible. You have to really do it right to make that movie work. Geoff Johns is right: You can make an Avengers movie by throwing together a bunch of second-stringers, but you can't just slap Superman and Batman costumes on a couple of guys and call it the Justice League. If they get the individual franchises working for Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and the Flash, then maybe they can earnestly re-visit the idea. But if you can't do it right, it's disastrous to do it at all.

There's some good Batman/Superman stories, maybe they could start by making a proper crossover movie with those two.

That was the original idea, but now that Batman's on track they're going to protect him from anything that will make him stupid.
