Everyone loves to poke at the Highlander sequels, and truth be told they make it easy. But with a remake right around the bend, maybe we should direct a little reconstructive criticism towards how the sequels should be handled this time around. media.libsyn.com/media/darkcrazy/TVAMD_Highlander.mp3

OK, I finally got around to this one! I really enjoyed it. Loved Andrew's enthusiasm despite not seeing the original (?! did I hear that right?) Some great ideas floated, and the Hobbit tangent was funny in this context.

Thanks for being the only one with an opinion. We're either chiming in too early (for the reboot) or too late (for all the other movies) on this one. It's fun fodder for discussion though.

I did like this episode, I'm just afraid that if I start writing "This one is good too" after every episode it'll get boring and you'll stop believing it!

Well, it's our job to provoke discussion (after being entertaining), but some topics are broader than others. Highlander may be too played out in every way for anyone to have anything new to add to the subject. My real advice to people making a Highlander movie could be summed up in 2 words: Don't suck.

What? oh DON'T suck, oh man, thats what we were doing wrong all these years, we were deliberately doing the opposite! Don't suck! Why didn't you tell us this years ago? Gilbert you're a filmmaking genius! Why aren't they paying you millions? They should be knocking at your door at all hours begging for your insightful messages, all of which will be; don't suck.

Sometimes the simplest advice is the hardest to follow.
