The Yowie is the aussie bigfoot. According to today's Amidale Express A Taree man was shocked by what he swears was a Yowie seen up to no good at Dangar's Falls. The man said the Yowie was stacking rocks and throwing them at children at children in the creek. Apparently the Yowie hates the school holidays as much as the rest of us. Oh, I've just had an additional thought, I wonder if this is at all linked to the recent spate of Cat disappearances in Armidale. The Yowie I mean, not the holidays. Do Yowies eat cats or something?

If so, maybe ALF was really a yowie, not an alien.

Hah!
Apparently a man in North Carolina called 911 saying that a bigfoot was "messin' with my dogs". Then he asked if he would get into trouble if he shot it. Fortunately for Bigfoot, 911 dispatchers have no specific policy for dealing with sasquatches.

oh dear.... messing with his dogs? What can he mean? Because I've heard "messing with" as a euphemism for some pretty bad things....

Maybe it's like messin' with sasquatch. He was putting their paws in hot water to make them pee, making them smear shaving cream on their faces... that kinda thing.
Why do rednecks have a gun ready for almost any occasion but no camera? Apparently he made 2 911 calls in the time that sasquatch was just casually hanging out in his backyard.

"yeah, if anyone is going to smear shaving cream on my dogs, it's me. I'm going to shoot that dang engangered scientific marvel." Don't you guys have a law against kiling sasquatch in some states because it's endangered? Didn't I hear that on your show?

I've heard that some states do, though I have never really looked to verify the rumor. I know some sasquatch "documentaries" claim these laws are on the books, but these shows have also been known to stretch the truth from time to time.

I saw where some areas in California were protected as gigantipithicus habitats (along with other endangered species), but that was on the Daily Show. That's what we were talking about, I think. I don't think they made that part up, because if they did it wouldn't be funny.

I don't think they made it up. I think they simply retorted what was claimed on shows aired on The History Channel and Discovery Channel. Here is a link to the Federal List of California Endangered Species. www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/endspec/frnotices.htmI've looked through a number of such lists and cannot find "sasquatch", "bigfoot", "yeti", "abominable snowman", nor "gigantipithicus". I'm not saying that it is not protected; I would simply like to see something official instead of taking the word from a show with an agenda.
