Yeah, it's never specifically stated that Palpatine or Plageus had a hand in Anakin's creation, but if they didn't, then why bring it up? Why introduce the superfluous information that Ani was a virgin birth (as a throwaway line!) then release the equally superfluous bombshell that Plageus (and possibly Palpatine) had the power to do that if there is no connection? Both revelations are utterly without merit if they are not connected.
I'm sensing that this was something he thought would be cool, but realized too late might be offensive to some people enough to damage DVD sales, so now his position is that there's nothing to it at all. But if there's nothing to it all, why bring it up?

I was just relistening to this episode today and I realised that we never answered the biggest question you guys asked in the episode; why red, green, blue on tvs instead of red, yellow, blue, which are the primary colours? The truth is that red green and blue are actually the primary colours of light, putting combinations of them together makes any other colour of light. Yellow, Cyan and Magenta are the secondary colours of light, yellow being made from green and red. I know it seems counter intuitive but we learn it when we learn paint, which acts differently to light. When we put together yellow and blue paint to make green we're actually just blocking the yellow wavelengths and the blue wavelengths from the mix and leaving only the green which is present in both yellow and blue paint. So it actually makes sense to use red, green blue in tvs because they project through light, not using pigments on the screen, like a painting. Miss Stahlhut out.
