Here's a taste of the upcoming Attic Expedition video: A little video segment I did for the project...

GENIUS!!!!!! That's in my top five (at least) favorite podcast bits, and the animation is worthy of it. *tip of the hat* to you, sir.

Fantastic!!! How did you put this together? Flash?

It's a pretty rudimentary 2D process. I create a scene in layers using Photoshop, then copy each layer, flatten and save as separate frames. I use Flash to animate the layers, export the scene as an avi, then edit the scenes together like any other movie.
I want to do so many more, but it's a time-consuming process. 2 minutes at a time is a good increment to work with, though.

You've got tonnes of other fun moments from the podcasts you could animate, no shortage of fodder; like some of those dream sequences, or bits from the survival guides, or Greg's fight scenes, or adventures in filmmaking. Oh there was that time I jumped out of the moving vehicle. What? excellent.

I had totally forgotten about the barbie doll sized Star Wars figures until I saw this, and now I remember my sister and I had luke and leia, and this must have been before ESB came out.
The animation of the clothes switching reminded me of when I'd unscrew my brother's G I Joes and make new ones from the body parts.

This is awesome! Even though I look like a homeless guy. I wish we could do all our stuff like this, it makes it more fun I think!

I'd like to do more; hopefully my schedule will allow. But this is part of the attic video, so that comes first.

Nice job and very funny. Can I suggest a cartoon version of your Gandalf and the Hobbit's weed discussion. That could be priceless.

Oh yeah ... another favorite! That would be awesome.
But first the Attic Adventure, of course.

That's a good tip, though: What do you think would make a good animated short?

While we're waiting for the next TVAMD animated short...

The survival guides would make good animation fodder. As for Brooks looking like a homeless guy, judge for yourselves... This was in 1997, at the premiere of our movie Sublimation. Brooks looks like he's posing for a mug shot. Manlove was actually in the original picture too, but in deference to him I've cropped him out. I notice Brooks didn't complain that I made myself look like a big fat weirdo...
