Has anyone heard of this one? Aliens vs Vikings. I haven't seen it yet, but how can it not be awesome?

I really haven't seen that many great Viking movies, I thought both the Thirteenth Warrior and Pathfinder were disappointing. The animated Beowulf was awful. Really, my favorite one is Erik the Viking.
James Caviezel and Sophia Myles sounds promising though.

Go watch the recent live action Beowulf with Gerry Butler in it. Apart from the weird witchy character it's good viking.

I've been waiting to talk about this one. It's pretty cool. Just know, it's another Beowulf redo. I want to do an episode on Beowulf movies, which is why I haven't said anything about it before now. It's way better than 13th Warrior, though.

Oh man, it doesn't have to hit a very high standard to be better than 13th warrior!

True. It's good fun. Nice visuals too.

Good actors but I thought overall pretty lame, without compensatory funny.

I have a hard time buying into anything that doesn't bring the funny. It was decent enough, though.

Yes, it took itself too seriously to have much fun with it, but it wasn't good enough to enjoy for being good. Sort of in the middle between categories so hard to really like. I guess at least it tried.

I'd call it watchable. At least more so than most Beowulf movies.

Better than the Lambert one. That was bust!
