I like the helmets-off and masks-off photos, especially the robots. The in-production photos show how charmingly low-tech were the sets for some of the scenes.

I was actually thinking the opposite, how elaborate some of the sets are. It's so cool to me that they actually built those magical environments, all the lights and matte paintings. Makes me so sad about movies nowadays where all the sets are cg. I mean, check out the cloud city pics, hoth, the death star. They built a sandcrawler for heaven's sake!

You guys been seeing all the amazing pictures promoting the upcoming Empire book? Hands up, who's got it on their Christmas list?!
