Yeah, the knee thing is just to be a dick. The ass flap procedure turned out to be problematic, since that's what caused C's post-op infection.

A post-op infection is a pretty routine deal, if he's such a good surgeon how come he just looks at her and says "Oh look, you're infected. You're going to die."

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the German weirdo obsessed with surgically forcing people to eat each other's shit is probably not the best doctor. Inventive, perhaps, but not exactly a medical genius.

Well the girl does go back to rescue her friend.... and pays the consequences. And you know the sequel isn't going to be medically accurate, maybe they don't like that over there.

I think it was more about the sexual overtones than the violence. I don't know why but I can stomach gruesome violence much more than I can a rape scene.

Exactly. I also agree on the rape thing. I'm never on board with that. But an over sexual element only illustrates more graphically what is already present in the first film. I think this sequel is going to take it to a place that makes everyone realize the concept was already over the edge. The first was smart in that they introduced a lot of crazy shit but didn't have a lot of graphic scenes to back it up.

I don't know that I'll watch the sequel, I only watched the first one because Sean said the doctor guy was funny and to see how the concept played out. I'm not into hard-core bowel-gore just for the sake of being sickening.

I think a sequel is unnecessary for obvious reasons. The concept has a certain lurid charm, but a follow-up can only push it beyond our threshold of "good" bad taste.
