Interesting back to basics prequel concept. This is pretty much what the original series did after they jumped the shark.

This could be good, but I think it has the very real potential of being awful. Something in the trailer interests me, but I can't shake the feeling that they've mishandled this.
Prequels are an interesting concept, but the fact that they are locked into an ending that will set up the series makes it pretty dangerous ground. Real easy to screw up. Just ask, Mr. Lucas.

I'm interested. I like the look of the apes, and I kinda like knowing that the humans are not coming out on top in this scenario. Gives one something to look foreward to.

I'm with Wilson. I like the idea of this, but something is nagging at me that it might not be good. It's the CGI that has me nervous. It looks cool, but Planet of the Apes has a long proud legacy of men in monkey suits. Not so proud of the Burton film, but very proud of the Rick Baker makeup in it.
