I read a news story on the local paper's website about a recently murdered woman that ended with "None of her Facebook friends immediately responded to an inquiry seeking comment." So add that to the list of ways social media may invite unwanted attention. If any of your facefriends does anything crazy you might be getting emailed by the local news looking for comment.

I could see police using facebook friends as a list of possible murder suspects when someone dies, seeing how murder-ees usually know their murderers.

Maybe they should just change the name of your friends list to "persons of interest".
