Also, Elliot is a good name, that's the name of the best dragon ever; Pete's dragon, that goes around helping people, roasting apples, playing noughts and crosses on its belly and, most importantly, scaring winos. You'd better teach your Elliot the "I love you too" song, "oomp oomp oomp oomp oomp oomp." Even a baby should be able to sing that soon. Baby Karaoke!

Thanks everybody! Believe it or not we already have a dragon suit we bought before he was born! It's too big for him now but I'll get pics as soon as he can get into it!

He and Mel are still in the hospital because his breathing is irregular, they say it will be fine. Well, I'm off to go back to the hospital again (been there all week!)

I have a baby gift for Elliot!!! Some assembly required (a phrase you will hear over and over in the coming years, by the way.) By crazy random happenstance, I found this yesterday:



For those blissfully not in the know, "Good Night Moon" is a very short, very repetitive bedtime book for very young kids. I managed to avoid this classic until my youngest was almost too old for it, seeing it as mind-numbingly simple. But after reading it a few times with a sleepy child or two on my lap, I realized (duh) sometimes stupidly hypnotic is EXACTLY what you want! It's like progressive relaxation for babies.
