Hey forumgoers, I've been asked to compile a little list of types of zombies, with a bit of a description of each and I guess how to kill them? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks friends!

I think there are four major types:
1- Voodoo Zombies - Folks, either recently dead or living, that are under the control of a voodoo witch doctor. I'm not too sure of what kills them. Killing the witch doctor frees them. Also, I think I remember something about salt freeing them as well.
2- Romero-Style Shambling Zombies - Dead folks that have an insatiable cannibalistic hunger. Their bites are infectious and killing them is via head-shot.
3- Russo-Style Shambling Zombies - Dead folks, brought back to life by a toxin (Trioxin Gas), that want to eat brains. They talk and can only be killed by absolutely destroying their bodies (acid, fire, et al). The smoke from burning one of these can spread more toxin into the air.
4- Infected Runner Zombies - Living folks that lose their minds when infected by some zombie virus (Rage Virus in 28 Days Later). They run fast, have no inhibitions, and are killed by the things that kill any of us. Some are pumped up on adrenaline, so dead-aiming is necessary.
There are, of course, some crossovers. Like Romero Running Zombies (Dawn of the Dead remake).

That's a comprehensive list. Resident Evil zombies are the result of a toxin too. Are there different classifications for animal zombies? I feel like the Romero strain is comparable to rabies, just like the running zombies. In that case, it has been pointed out, that it is most likely only spread to mammals. Toxin zombies can infect animals (like the half dog in ROTLD), but in Resident Evil it infects birds too. Here's my zombie research: www.darkcrazy.com/Zombie_War.pdf

Yes, I've used this list as a basis for mine but changed some of the things around a bit. It's surprising to me how many times these things pop up in movies unanounced, like the zombies in The Mummy, the "Imhotep" zombies, as I've dubbed them. They're basically voodoo zombies too.

That would make one helluva sequel. Forget Savage Sam.
First, you can have a flashback of Travis putting down Old Yeller. He then buries the body in an old Indian burial ground. A few days later, Old Zombie Yeller comes back and takes out half the towns folk. That's when Travis's dad educates him on the importance of the head shot (and not disturbing Indian burial grounds as well).

Pet Sematary / Old Yeller crossover. Oh yeah!!!
The sequel could be a Pet Sematary / Where the Red Fern Grows crossover. Double bubble, baby. Zombified Old Dan and Little Ann lead an undead army of zombie coons. What's not to love?

I love the idea of the Zombie General thing... could you use that cartoon version of me, put on an old helmet, battle make-up and maybe some dog-tags and guns? Is that too complicated? Does Cafepress do international stuff? I'm still trying to figure out how to do international paypal payments... but I think paypal automatically converts it for me, so that's good. There should be more help for international people on lulu.
