The guys bring the truth when they uncover the secret conspiracies veiled in SciFi. Were the Smurfs communist? Did Star Trek have a secret socialist agenda? Was Gandalf magical or did he just have awesome weed? We may never know the answers to these questions. But we're gonna do our best to crack this nut before the night is through. So the real question is: Can you handle it? Are you ready for this much truth? media.libsyn.com/media/darkcrazy/ep_5_mixdown_final_NEW.mp3

If it was Brooks writing these things it wouldn't say conspiracies it would say "The Politics of Sci-Fi."

I think this was Brooks' topic, actually.

This is the episode that officially hooked me to the show. Your discussion of Gandalf and his weed had me in stitches.

It's all true though, when you look at it again, it's all a drug-addled dream! Second breakfast, really?

No! I just relistened to the show, and it was Sean who called it the Politics of Sci Fi. Funny how the memory plays tricks on you!

I think that was the original concept, but we've never been very good with politics so we just started talking about hobbits, I guess.
